Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not at all. If you already have an STL or STEP file, you can upload it directly to our quoting tool. If you only have a broken part, a sketch on a napkin, or just an idea, our CAD design service can reverse-engineer or build the 3D model from scratch before we print it.
-
When C & J Precision handles your design work, our quotes conveniently bundle both the creative design and the final 3D-printed product. In line with industry standards, we retain ownership of the original CAD files. We securely archive these for you, making future re-orders or minor adjustments quick and easy. Should you need the raw digital assets for your own records, they are available for purchase through a separate File Release Agreement.
-
No. We specialize in on-demand, low-volume manufacturing. Whether you need a single custom gear for an RC plane, a prototype for a new product, or a batch of 50 custom Paslode tool covers for your business, we can handle it.
-
We use a variety of high-quality plastics depending on the mechanical needs of your project. We typically print using PLA (great for models and indoor use), PETG (highly durable and water-resistant), TPU (flexible and rubber-like), and tougher engineering-grade filaments for heavy-duty parts. We can help you choose the right material for your specific application.

We run a fleet of cutting-edge Bambu Lab 3D printers in our Chisholm workshop. In the 3D printing world, these machines are renowned for their exceptional reliability and dimensional accuracy. For you, this means faster turnaround times, incredibly strong parts, and a highly consistent, professional finish.
Please note: Because our items are 3D printed layer by layer, minor layer lines or small surface textures will be visible. This is a normal part of the manufacturing process, but our premium equipment ensures these are kept to an absolute minimum.
